Glass is one of the most recyclable materials
It can be melted down and reused many times without losing quality. Cullet returns to production of new panes and reduces raw material and energy consumption.
Tempering
After heat treatment, tempered glass is significantly more resistant to impact and temperature changes than ordinary glass of the same thickness — which is why it is required in doors and large glazed areas under load.
Acoustics
Noise is reduced not only by glass thickness — asymmetric panes (different thicknesses) and laminated glass matter too. Along roads and railways, both solutions are often combined in one unit.
